@clapyourhandsify disgrace is quite a harsh word. I enjoyed watching the senegalese, partly because they played entertaining football, partly because they were the underdogs, and partly because as the tournament progressed so did their swagger.
TomatoBrazil23 I guess you only saw the highlights of their games. Senegal was a disgrace. They made like 200 free kicks in the tournament.

Yeah, great goal. And a well deserved red card for Diao. As I remember, Batre should have sent off 1 or 2 senegalese players more.

Carlos Batres is a shady ref. when every the U.S. plays in the gold cup final he has been the ref. he has also been the ref in other games that the U.S. has played. most have been wins through him.
carlos batres is a crook. every gold cup tournament since 2000, he, for some strange reason ends up being the ref when the U.S. plays. specially doing the final game when the U.S. plays. that seems to me a bit fishy. in 2007 gold cup the U.S. were champions. then they compete a week later in copa america in south american an loose all 3 game. kind a wierd huh. i like the u.s. national team but after doing sum research on the net on WHO REFS THE U.S. games, it looks a bit shady.
