The penalty was weak but Onyewu was caught out of position. These highlights were so short but from what I remember a fair score would have been a tie so we didn’t deserve to advance. Arena changed our lineups to fit our opponents instead of playing our best lineup and forcing the opponents to adjust to us. With Davies out and Altidore not playing well, I’d like to see Dempsey out left (like Fulham) and Donovan as a withdrawn forward and Holden out right.

Many may not like the US but the world does not hate your soccer or football team. The US had many supporters in the Brazil vs USA confederations cup final.
It should not have recieved a penalty kick.
USA was just quite unlucky in this game.
all we needed to do was defeat ghana and we woulda been through to the next round. oh well, 2010 is a whole new story for us! the world may hate us, but they can hate us when we bounce back from 06 and make it out of the group and possibly back to the quarter finals

african teams have the same problem as usa refeeres are destinated to give a player red card because Fifa doesnt want an african team to suceed in world cup
The US get’s raped by the ref, just like against Germany in 02. That was a sketchy penalty if i’ve ever seen one.
