part of the reason why Americans and Canadians refer to the NFL and CFL as “real football” is an un-necessary shot at your football. Particularly Americans. Americans don’t appreciate 2-0 or 1-0 or 1-1 matches. Less offense, less interest. But that’s our problem.

Plus some American sports fans feel that certain sports that don’t appeal to the American sports culture (such as football) should be removed from the olympics. That’s a problem here in the USA.
